The Unwaste Shop: Beverly
We’re thrilled to share that we’re opening a second location in the Beverly neighborhood in Chicago!
This new location will bring sustainable living a little closer to even more people throughout Chicago and the surrounding areas. Just like our West Loop shop, this new space will feature eco-friendly products, zero-waste essentials, and a refill station to help you cut down on single-use plastics and live more sustainably.
We can’t wait to welcome everybody to the store and continue building a community around simple, accessible, and sustainable living.
Stay tuned for updates as we put the finishing touches on our new storefront!

Hello! Welcome To The Unwaste Shop.
We’re really excited to share that The Unwaste Shop is opening a second location in Beverly. This new location will help us increase our reach and ultimately achieve our goal of lessening our environmental impact and leave a healthy planet for future generations
We’ve seen first-hand how small swaps can add up to big change, and we can’t wait to bring sustainable, eco-friendly alternatives to everyday items to a new neighborhood. As a Beverly resident, Randi is particularly excited to bring her home-away-from-home to the heart of Beverly. We hope to bring new life to the Belle Up space that has so wonderfully served the area for over a decade!
We welcome you into the new Beverly shop to refill on essentials, find eco-friendly items that help you live a zero waste life, and join our growing community of people choosing planet-friendly living.

Refill Station: How It Works

Choose your container
Bring a clean one from home or buy one of ours for reuse. Feel free to bring in any container that you have! Glass, aluminum, or plastic - all are great options.
Weigh your container
Weigh your container and write the weight on your container with a washable marker or snap a photo with your phone. This is called the tare weight. This is so that you only get charged for the product that's inside!
Fill it up
Fill up your container with as little or as much as you'd like! Fill up at the refill station on liquid shampoo, multi-purpose cleaner, and dish soap or grab some laundry detergent or toilet bombs!
Checkout
We'll weigh your filled up container and charge you by the ounce. Come back again to the refill shop when you're running low to refill again! No single use here.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do you offer in-store pickup?
Answer: Yes, we do! Choose in-store pick up at checkout and your order will typically be ready for you within 2 business hours. -
Can I bring in my plastic shampoo bottle and fill it at your refill station?
Answer: Yes! We hope that you do! You can bring in any type of container to refill at our store. As long as it's relatively clean, we accept all types of containers including plastic! -
Do you accept returns?
Answer: Due to the nature of our products, and the fact that many come unpackaged, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Please see our refund policy for a full explanation here. -
What is a zero waste store?
Answer: A zero waste store is a store that promotes reducing waste, purchasing just what you need and reusing what you have! Most of the items sold are plastic free or with zero packaging, which means you don't have to throw very much away- hence the name zero waste! For example, every time you buy a roll of conventional paper towels at the store, the paper towels come packaged in plastic film. When you open your paper towels, that plastic film gets thrown in the trash. So many of the things we currently buy are contributing to our plastic problem and our landfill problem. All of the amazing brands in our store are trying to change that!
