Hand over your KeepCup at your local cafe. Keep the lid. The barista will make you a great beverage and hand it back to you in your KeepCup. Put the lid on and you are on your way – light of step and glad of heart.
The KeepCup is not a fully sealed vessel and has been designed to replace disposable cups which means this cup is not leak proof. It is not safe for use in the microwave or the freezer.
Do not overfill and keep in mind that steam from boiling liquid will cause pressure to build up inside the cup. It is recommended that you wait 30 seconds after pouring boiling water before putting your lid on. And keep the plug vent open for all beverages over 65°C (149°F).
Hand wash stainless steel cup. Lid is top rack dishwasher safe. Designed to be taken apart for thorough cleaning- the plug can be removed.

It started in a Melbourne café with a simple idea: keep it and use it again. Siblings Abigail and Jamie Forsyth started a café business in Melbourne in 1998. As the business grew, so did their concerns about the volume of packaging being consumed, particularly disposable cups; lined with polyethylene which makes them non-recyclable. In 2007, prompted by the unsuitability of existing thermoses and mugs for refill in a café environment, they decided to design and manufacture their own – a barista standard reusable cup for people to enjoy better coffee on the go. KeepCups are now used in more than 65 countries around the world and users, or reusers, divert millions of disposable cups from landfills every day. KeepCup is a Certified B Corporation and is 1% for the planet.

Stainless steel is meant to last a lifetime, however, it is infinitely recyclable in metal recycling streams. Find a scrap metal yard who accepts household items or return to the store so we can recycle it properly.
