Conventional disposable menstrual products that contain plastics, artificial fragrances, adhesives, and chemical gels

Pantyliner is equivalent to a small disposable pantyliner. Slim and absorbent, the one-piece GladRags Pantyliner is perfect for light everyday protection or as backup for your menstrual cup or sea sponge.

Day Pad is equivalent to a standard-size maxi pad. GladRags Day Pads have a unique three-part design which allows you to customize the pad according to your flow. Choose one or two absorbent inserts to place inside the envelope-style holder, or use the holder alone for an ultra-slim liner!

After use, separate the inserts from the holder (pantyliners do not have inserts). Soak in cold water, if desired to prevent staining. Use the presoak function on your washing machine, or soak in a covered rust-proof container. Change soaking water daily. Machine wash cold using a natural detergent and tumble dry low or line dry. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Remove pads from dryer promptly and store flat to eliminate wrinkling; use cool iron if desired. Store your pads in a clean, dry place until next use.

Avoid using detergents that include fabric softeners or whiteners as these can inhibit the absorbency of your cloth pads. The use of castile soap, facial soap, or other soaps not intended for textile laundering is not recommended. Excess detergent may lead to build up, which can limit the absorbency of your cloth pads.

GladRags cloth pads are made with soft cotton flannel on the outside and absorbent cotton terrycloth on the inside with a metal snap. Polyester thread.

Founded in 1993, GladRags is a small business with big ideas: to make cloth pads and menstrual cups go mainstream and empower menstruators everywhere. Their mission is to positively transform the experience of menstruation through reusable menstrual products & relevant education. GladRags is proud to make their products in the United States and to source materials from local and/or woman-owned suppliers whenever possible. Since day one, they’ve been independently owned by women.  GladRags is a Certified B Corporation and is committed to integrating environmental and social justice into every aspect of how they do business.

With proper care, GladRags are made to last at least at least 5 years. After removing the snap and thread, the pads are compostable. Recycle the thread in textile recycling and the snap in metal recycling. Find a scrap metal yard that accepts household material or bring the polyester thread and snap back to the store so that we can recycle it properly.
